The goal of the Food group is to encourage the use of local food including local community gardens and gardening projects for children in Chapel Hill/Carrboro school district. It also aims to work with local farmers, restaurants and institutions to promote local food and improve food security.

Here is map of community food resources in our area: community gardens, farmers markets, and restaurants that serve a large percentage of food from local farms.

We have many experienced gardeners, experts on permaculture and sustainability. Get involved, participate in a community garden, support the farmers markets and restaurants, or grow some of your own food. Meet us in our forums..
